The Howard Hotel

Our recent stay at the Howard Hotel in room 301 was perfect. The self check-in process was easy with secure codes for the exterior door and room. A small number of rooms in a historic beautifully renovated building makes it a quiet intimate experience. The lobby area is lovely with attractive seating and rugs along with stunning antiques and interesting artwork throughout the hotel. The room was spotless and appointed with handsome furnishings and an attractive bathroom. A coffee station on each floor was a very nice touch. It is obvious that a great deal of thought went into the design choices with a great attention to details that make for a very enjoyable stay. We recommend it highly.

Nice room and in a good location - we were only stopping by for a night and it worked out well. One BIG note is that no one works onsite and they just text you a code to open the front door and your room door. Not that big of a deal if everything goes smoothly but I can imagine if it didn’t or your phone dies and you forget the code, it would be irritating. Personal opinion on this setup - We paid 300$ for a night on a Friday in December which is the going rate for hotel rooms in NY but I feel if they are able to cut labor costs (which businesses are always complaining about being a significant part of running a business), you’d think the cost would come down. This property gives rich person investment vibes and how to maximize profit while giving the bare minimum to guests.

Very charming little place in the perfect location. You have everything you need right around it. It was clean and comfortable. I liked that it had a code to get in the door and the rooms. Keep in mind that there isn't an elevator so you do have to bring your luggage upstairs but I didn't mind at all. It felt like a bed and breakfast, very homey. It didn't have breakfast though, but I knew that ahead of time and there are plenty of great breakfast places around. I loved the little porch in the front and back. The bed was very comfortable. They had little stations on each floor that had a refrigerator and kettle with tea and coffee. The only thing I'd recommend them have is a microwave to heat up leftovers but all and all I had a wonderful experience here and would definitely stay here again

Hotels like this (perhaps in towns like this) make me want to come back...soon! Lovely place with super clean and well appointed room, very West Elmy and bright. Close to everything, quiet and a most pleasant stay....Thanks for the effort to keep rates low yet not compromise on quality....we will be back.

Loved our stay at the Howard Hotel. Room was exactly as described and pictured. Very clean and comfortable. Location couldn't be any better. Walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay here again next time in Hudson

Everything was fantastic!! I really enjoyed the self service check in and availability of the manager via cell phone if needed. The room was very cute and probably cleaner than any hotel I've ever been to!!! The bed was more than comfortable and bathroom perfect for a couple. I'd recommend the Howard to anyone staying in the Hudson area.

What a great little find. We were only here overnight, but it was super nice. Very convenient being on the “it” street. The room, and the entire building, was very clean. A community fridge, coffee, espresso machines is a great idea. The no contact check in threw us for a loop at first. But we then re-read our confirmation ….duh! Instructions were clear. Would definitely stay here again

Excellent experience at theHoward Hotel in Hudson NY. Good communication about check in at the hotel. Lovely decorated lobby, nice snd warm on a cold evening. Meticulously clean room, everything working properly, good heat controls. Decent bedding, quiet rooms. Lots of nice extras, real bars of soap, tissues. Coffee maker in the landing, everything well thought out. Will stay here again.
